Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA) – Membership Intake Process (MIP) Practice Exam

A Soror becomes a member of an International Committee primarily through an appointment by the Supreme Basileus. This process emphasizes the importance of leadership and structure within Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, allowing the Supreme Basileus to select individuals who have demonstrated the skills, dedication, and commitment required for the specific needs of the committee. This method ensures that the Sorors who serve on these committees can effectively contribute to the organization's goals and initiatives, as they are appointed based on their qualifications and recommended abilities.

Other pathways to membership on committees, such as election during the Boule or volunteering for a position, serve different functions within the organization and do not directly pertain to the formal process established for International Committees. Nominations from local chapters, while valuable, also do not replace the critical role of appointment by the Supreme Basileus in establishing the committee's composition.
